Gardaí probe Davitt Road assault

Gardaí in Dublin are investigating a serious assault on a man in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

The man received head injuries following an altercation outside a pub on the Davitt Road shortly after 1am.

He is now in intensive care at St James' Hospital.
