Woman dies in three-car collision in Wexford

The number of people killed on Irish roads during long weekends this year has risen to 28.

A woman has died after a three-car collision in Wexford and one woman is reported in critical condition in hospital following the accident.

Rescue workers and members of the fire brigade are now trying to cut loose another man trapped in one of the cars at the scene.

The fatal crash occurred on the main Duncannon road in Wexford earlier at around 3.30pm.
