NI Secretary avoids IRA disbandment question

The new Northern Secretary, Paul Murphy, has avoided questions about IRA disbandment and whether he is willing to speak directly to loyalist paramilitaries.

Speaking during a walkabout in north Down this morning, Mr Murphy said he fully agrees with British Prime Minister Tony Blair's speech calling on the IRA to disband.
