Minister appoints garda to deal with clerical abuse issue

Justice minister, Michael McDowell, has confirmed to the Dail that a Garda Superintendent has been assigned to deal with concerns over clerical sexual abuse.

Speaking to the Dail this afternoon, the minister said the superintendent will give an analytical overview of what is involved in dealing with the issue.
