A 29-year old Catholic man in the north is in a serious condition in hospital after what police say was a vicious assault.

A 29-year old Catholic man is in a serious condition in hospital after what police say was a vicious assault in the North.

The man was walking home in Larne after leaving a local pub when two men confronted him.
