Kenny says lessons have been learnt from Nice
Enda Kenny has said that a number of lessons have been learned from the Nice Referendum this time around.
Mr Kenny pointed out that the amount of information given to the public on European politics had been very helpful and that the people should never be taken for granted.
Mr Kenny insisted the resounding two-thirds 'Yes' vote was a direct result of the amount of information that the public had been able to examine.
He maintained that this should continue in the future.
He pointed out that Fine Gael held 17 public meetings on the Nice referendum and he said that the value of these could now be seen from the results of the referendum.
