Special service for donors and recipients

Relatives of those who have donated organs and those who have had their lives saved by such donations will hold a church service in Dublin today.

Relatives of those who have donated organs and those who have had their lives saved by such donations will hold a church service in Dublin at 1pm.

During the ceremony, which takes place at the Corpus Christi church in Drumcondra, the parents of two young children who gave their organs to others will lay an organ donor card at the altar.

Chief Executive of the Irish Kidney Association, Mark Murphy, said a special book commemorating the dead would be viewed.
