Three firms express interest in Stadium Ireland

At least three known property developers have submitted expressions of interest in the proposed Stadium Ireland project.

Private businessmen were invite to build the stadium after the cabinet refused to fund the project with taxpayers' money.

So far, Treasury Holdings, Dunloe Ewart Developments and Lang Construction have submitted expressions of interest which will be studied by the Government over the coming weeks.

Today is the closing date for submissions.
