There have been further outbreaks of the winter vomiting bug in two more hospitals in Dublin.

Beaumont Hospital and St. Vincents Hospital are both reporting new cases of the dangerous infection.

Fifteen new cases of the bug have been discovered over the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 77 patients, who are displaying symptoms.

A total of 17 out of Beaumont's 19 wards are now closed and elective admissions for medical and surgical procedures are still postponed.

Meanwhile, approximately 24 patients at St. Vincents have symptoms of the disease, making it 60 people affected so far.

The hospital is also urging people to attend their GP's except in emergency cases.
