Don't suspend Assembly - dump Sinn Fein says Trimble

David Trimble was today holding talks with Taoiseach Bertie Ahern as the clock ticked down on Northern Ireland’s latest bid to share power.

With IRA disbandment not on the cards, the Ulster Unionist leader is expected to discuss suspension of the devolved institutions during a Dublin meeting with the Taoiseach.
