Officials scupper attempt to restore hospital services

The medical board at Monaghan General Hospital has refused to participate in a proposed forum to examine how services might be restored at the hospital.

The move effectively scuppers the forum, which was the latest in a string of attempts to get emergency and maternity services returned to the hospital.
