First National Animal Welfare centre opens

The first National Animal Welfare centre is being officially opened this afternoon.

The first National Animal Welfare centre is being officially opened this afternoon.

The centre, run by the ISPCA is located on 80 acres of land in Keenagh in Co Longford.

Spokesman Ciaran Flanagan says the facility is badly needed for rehabilitating and re-homing animals that have been abused or neglected.
