Labour slams ‘short-sighted’ university heads

The Labour Party has accused university heads of short-sightedness in supporting proposals to reintroduce third-level fees.

Party spokesman Joe Costello said claims by the heads of three major colleges that free education has done nothing for people from disadvantaged backgrounds are astonishing.
