FG spokeswoman calls for new dispute system

The Fine Gael Health spokeswoman Olivia Mitchell says that hospital disputes with nurses are being drawn out and has called for a unified system for dealing with nurses' work-to-rule protests.

Insisting that work-to-rule problems are constant among hospitals, she says that the situation is not calming the already volatile healthcare system that is in place.

The Minister for Health Micheal Martin is now being asked to deal with hospital issues on a national basis.
