Protest against 'ageism' comes to the Dáil

Demonstrators will protest outside the Dáil later today against 'ageism' in Irish society.

Age Action Ireland are protesting against the widespread ageism that exists in Irish society.

The demonstration is being held also to mark International Day on Ageing.

The group have set up a phoneline where the public can relate any experiences where people have been discriminated against because of their age.

CEO of Age Action Ireland Robin Webster says that the move is to help include older people in the workplace, training and education opportunities in general.
