Cuts will be resisted, says Howlin
The Deputy Leader of the Labour Party Brendan Howlin claims that possible cuts for rail services in the south of the country are unthinkable.
He insists that plans to cut costs are ‘short-termisms’ and will not be tolerated.
The Wexford TD says that it will come as a shock to local people.
CSO figures show people from that region receiving the lowest income rates in the country.
Mr. Howlin says that if CIE or the government plan to cut back on services in the area, they will be resisted ‘tooth’ and ‘nail’.
