Government support is falling
Support for the Government is falling as the Nice Treaty hangs in the balance.
After the findings of the Flood Tribunal's interim report, the Fianna Fail-led Government have been criticised heavily by opposition parties.
However, a new poll published today shows that the public are now loosing faith in the Taoiseach as well.
The MRBI opinion poll says that Mr Ahern's personal rating has fallen 19 points to 51%.
It is thought that public backing might now be a lot lower as the poll was conducted before the Flood report.
Furthermore, support in general for the government has fallen by 25% since May of this year to just 36%.
