PSNI chief wants reserves retained

The Police Service of Northern Ireland Chief Constable, Hugh Orde, is pressing the policing board for the retention of the PSNI full-time reserves.

The North is experiencing a major policing manpower crisis – and it is understood to be 600 staff short of the 'peacetime premium' number.
