The Small Firms Association has dismissed a report by economist Peter Bacon which said the proposed Personal Injuries Assessment Board will only increase insurance costs.

In a report compiled for the Bar Council, Mr Bacon said the board, which is due to be established next month, will only exacerbate the current problem of spiralling insurance.
