EU applicants ‘depending on Irish yes vote’

Fianna Fail TD Michael Woods has said that the 12 countries seeking membership of the European Union are depending on Ireland to vote yes to the Nice Treaty.

“They are part of Europe and they have worked for years to prepare themselves to meet the democratic and developmental criteria for participation,” he said.
