Delays expected over CityJet dispute
Delays are likely at Dublin Airport today when workers down tools to attend a general meeting over the CityJet pay dispute.
Baggage handlers at the company have been on strike for several weeks.
SIPTU’s Dermot O’Loughlin says their fellow workers have pledged their support: "They now say they want to play an active part, a robust part, a concrete part in bringing this dispute to an end.
"To that end, however, we must take cognisance of the fact that we don't want to revert to those bad days around Ryanair, where companies didn't fly that weren't in dispute."
He added: "We are now particularly targeting the CityJet handling operation."
