Minister believes third level fees should return

Fees for third level students may be re-introduced after the Minister for Education, Noel Dempsey said he believed there should be fees for students who can afford to pay.

Speaking to The Irish Times, the Minister said his officials are examining the future of the €350m spend on student support services, of which €175m is paid by the state on colleges fees.
