A 20-year-old motorcyclist has become the third person to die on Irish roads in the last 24 hours.

A 20-year-old motorcyclist has become the third person to die on Irish roads in the last 24 hours.

The male motorcyclist died after a collision with an oil tanker.

The incident occurred just six miles outside of Wexford town on the Duncannon road just after 2pm today.

The youth was pronounced dead at the scene.
