Government licks its wounds after McCreevy 'ambush'

The Government will be furious with RTE this morning after the Minister for Finance was effectively ambushed on the Late Late Show last night about recent cutbacks.

After he walked on stage to a chorus of boos, the Minister remarked that the audience “must not like Kildare footballers, or anything else” which prompted even further booing.
