De Rossa wants EU to investigate Carrickmines

Labour MEP Proinsias De Rossa has applied to the European Union to have the construction of the south-eastern motorway at the Carrickmines site in Dublin halted.

Mr De Rossa has said that he thinks a proper archaeological assessment of the site had not taken place.
