Young Fine Gael urge for weekend referendum

Young Fine Gael has urged the Government to hold the Nice Treaty referendum on a weekend.

The group expressed its concern at a telephone survey carried out yesterday by the Referendum Commission which suggests that only 28% of people under the age of 24 intend to vote in the referendum.
