Northern Ireland’s Chief Constable Hugh Orde has announced he is re-deploying 100 police officers in Belfast to deal with a shortage of detectives.

Mr Orde has also given the go-ahead for an advertising campaign to recruit experienced detectives from other police forces throughout the UK.
