ICSA calls for CAP review
The Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmer's Association is demanding a review of the Common Agriculture Policy reform proposals from EU farming commissioner Franz Fischler.
ICSA president Charlie O'Reilly is calling for the review, as he feels 'the current CAP has clearly not been good for the dry stock sector'.
Mr O'Reilly was addressing a meeting of the CAP reform committee set up by Minister for Agriculture Joe Walsh.
He added: "The ICSA wants to see the change going forward and the best way forward for Ireland is to be pro-active in trying to shape the changes to the current CAP".
