Hospital worker suspended after sexual assault claim

An employee of one of Dublin’s biggest hospitals has been suspended after an allegation by an elderly male patient that he was sexually assaulted as he lay in his bed.

The alleged incident at the Mater Hospital was reported to gardai in the early hours of yesterday morning and is being investigated by detectives.
