Rainbow Warrior to join protest flotilla

The Greenpeace vessel Rainbow Warrior will leave Dublin this morning to join an anti-nuclear flotilla due to protest at the arrival of a shipment of nuclear waste in the Irish Sea.

The mixed-oxide (MOX) fuel was originally sent from Sellafield in England to Japan, but the Japanese authorities sent it back after BNFL, the company which runs Sellafield, admitted falsifying safety data.
