IMPACT executive to discuss health cuts

The IMPACT trade union’s national executive will meet in Dublin today to discuss its official response to the Government’s request for job cuts in health boards around Ireland.

The issue came to public attention after the Western Health Board’s recent announcement of plans to lay off 169 workers to meet savings ordered by the Department of Health.
