Seal sanctuary seeks release of whales and dolphins

The Irish Seal Sanctuary has called for the release of all captive whales and dolphins.

The Irish Seal Sanctuary has called for the release of all captive whales and dolphins.

The request follows the attempted rehabilitation of Keiko, the whale made famous by the film Free Willy.

Keiko appeared to take to life in the wild, but has now sought out human company again in the waters around Norway.

However, Keiko is in danger from excited whale watchers.

The Irish Seal Sanctuary said it is imperative that all released whales and dolphins are treated with respect.
