Woman dies in accident in Galway

An elderly woman died after a car crash at Ballinasloe in Co Galway earlier today.

The elderly lady was travelling towards the Cappataggle Cross at 8.30am today when the vehicle in which she was driving collided with a jeep.

A man in his seventies was seriously injured the crash.

Two passengers who were also travelling in the car received minor injuries as did the driver of the jeep.
