Don't be distracted, Sinn Fein urges Blair
Sinn Fein today urged Tony Blair and the British government not to be distracted by the possibility of an attack on Iraq from unfolding events in Northern Ireland.
After a meeting of the party’s policy-directing executive in Dublin, chairman Mitchel McLaughlin called on the British Prime Minister to act quickly to ensure that the Ulster Unionist Party of Northern Ireland First Minister David Trimble did not carry out a threat to walk away from the province’s political institutions.
