Body found in suspicious circumstances

The body of a man has been found in suspicious circumstances in Co Waterford.

The man, who is thought to be a foreign national, was discovered in Whiting Bay between Ardmore in Waterford and Youghal in Co Cork.

It is understood he was been badly beaten.

The area has been sealed off and the state pathologist has been notified.

The man’s body will remain at the scene until a preliminary post mortem examination is carried out.
