Study: women earn less than men
Irish women are earning 30% less than Irish men for the same work, a new study reveals.
The EU report shows the gender pay difference in Ireland to be the fourth worst amongst the member states.
It says women are earning just over 80% of their male colleagues wages.
Patrick O’Leary of the equality authority says the pay-gap is caused by two factors.
He says it is a question of education and changing and adjusting the workplace.
