Taoiseach rejects 'No to Nice' immigration claim

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has said that he fully understands the concerns of the Irish people regarding the re-run of the Nice Treaty referendum later this year.

Speaking at the launch of a pro-Nice leaflet in Dublin today, Mr Ahern said the Government has taken the views of the public on board following the rejection of the treaty last year.
