Priests 'must be called to answer for sex abuse'

The President of the National Conference of Priests of Ireland has said any cleric who acted irresponsibly in relation to child sex abuse must be called to answer.

Fr John Littleton said following an audit by the child abuse commission into the management of clerical sex abuse, serious decisions will have to be made.

Speaking from the NCPI’s Annual Conference in Maynooth, Fr Littleton said he hopes the full truth is finally established by the commission.
