Tyrone: Clothing firm to lay off 106 workers
A clothing firm in the North has announced plans to close one of its plants in Dungannon, Co Tyrone, with the loss of 106 jobs.
Desmond and Sons, which supplies exclusively to Marks and Spencer, said price pressures and the difficulty in recruiting workers meant the factory was no longer viable.
The company said it has entered consultation with trade unions about redundancy terms, adding that it regretted the decision to end production.
