SIPTU suspends ward attendants’ strike

SIPTU has announced the suspension of strike action by ward attendants in six Dublin hospitals following talks at the Labour Court this morning.

The attendants had begun industrial action at psychiatric and geriatric units in pursuit of an 8% pay increase that was already given to their colleagues in other hospitals.
