Wheat dispute is resolved
A dispute over the importation of cheap wheat into Drogheda Port has been resolved.
The Irish Farmers' Association (IFA) have secured an agreement with the importer that the four tonnes of grain will be locked into storage indefinitely.
It will not be released into the Irish market until native grain stocks are depleted.
Last Saturday, about 200 farmers prevented the cargo from being unloaded at Drogheda Port in protest.
