Holy Cross schoolkids go back for new term
A new term begins today at Holy Cross primary school in north Belfast but no repeat of the loyalist blockade is expected there.
Earlier this year, police kept the route to the school open as loyalists protested, causing massive disruption.
It is believed that loyalist commander, Johnny Adair, has told local loyalists that the protest damaged their own cause and has ordered them not to repeat the protest this term.
Adair’s brother was jailed in connection with the protest, which attracted massive international media attention.
