Post mortem to be carried out on Chinese man

A post mortem will be carried out this afternoon on the body of a man found in Belfast.

The 24-year old Chinese man was discovered in an alleyway with severe head injuries near a backpackers’ hostel on the Donegal Road. He was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital but pronounced dead on arrival.

The man had been staying in the hostel since his arrival in Northern Ireland last Thursday.

Police in the North have launched a full investigation into the man’s death.
