Farmers protest over imports

Farmers took to the streets today over the import of cheap imported wheat. The protest occurred in Co Louth.

More than 200 grain farmers blockaded Drogheda port and prevented a shipment of the cheap imported wheat being off-loaded in the area.

Farming groups maintain that the imported goods are putting them out of business.
