Strike action by hospital ward attendants has been suspended to allow talks to take place at the Labour Court.

Unions and the Health Services Employment Agency (HSEA) are expected to attend the talks on Monday next.

The dispute centres on the non-payment of 8% pay parity to ward attendants in geriatric and psychiatric hospitals in the Eastern Regional Health Authority.
