Figures confirm economic slowdown

The latest economic forecast from the Department of Finance has confirmed that the economy is suffering from a slowdown and that public finances have been severely weakened.

The economic review and outlook for 2002 predicts a further slowing in economic growth and revises GNP growth estimates to 3%.
