School principals may be compensated

Lump sum payments of €2,500 may be paid to principals and deputy principals for the extra work they have carried out during the ASTI supervision and substitution dispute.

The Department of Education is looking at ways to compensate principals for their efforts in alleviating the dispute, by bringing in replacement supervisors since last March.
