€3.5m raised from plastic bag levy

The Government has raised €3.5m since the introduction of the levy on plastic bags three months ago.

It’s reported that shopping habits have changed dramatically with only 23 million bags used in the three-month period compared to the 300 million plastic bags that would normally have been used.
