Industrial action hits postal deliveries

Postal deliveries in rural areas were hit today by industrial action by contract workers employed by An Post.

Intensive talks through most of last week between the management and the Irish Postmasters’ Union failed to resolve a dispute over payment for sorting mail in rural locations.
