Four men in hospital following beating

Four men are recovering after a punishment beating in County Down.

Four masked men broke down the door of their home at Brookside Terrace in Ballinahinch around 1.45am today.

Police say one of the brothers, who was asleep in bed, was attacked with a sledgehammer.

The other was beaten by three of the gang members around his face, body and legs.

Both were taken to hospital where their injuries are described as not serious.
